What is Hospice Care?
Hospice provides a special kind of care and support for individuals and their families in the last phases of a life-limiting illness so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice care focuses on controlling the patients’ pain and other physical symptoms of their illness but also provides emotional and spiritual support for both the patient and their family. Hospice helps patient and their families with end-of-life decision making, meeting life goals, enhancing family relationships and promoting comfort.
Who Are We?
Founded in 2000, privately owned and operated, Living Waters Hospice Care has provided compassionate care and support to many local residents and their families in and around our eight county service area in Southern Indiana that includes; Vanderburgh, Warrick, Spencer, Dubois, Pike, Knox, Gibson & Posey.
We have a high nurse to patient ratio and customize care to the individuals needs, providing compassionate care to local individuals and their families. We work hard to provide an excellent support system and are willing to go the extra mile with a servants’ heart, to assist the individual and his/her loved ones with positive life closure. We truly do provide the right care at the right time.
Who Pays for Hospice Care?
Hospice services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance companies at a 100 percent. Patients are accepted for care regardless of their ability to pay or race, color, national origin, age, sex, mental or physical disability or religion.
